I first ordered this CD few years after seeing the movie "El Sur". Most of the pieces are from the soundtrack of this bewitching film.
This music brings the soul of Astor Piazolla tango, the secret heart of Buenos-Aires, the magic of Argentina. And more than this, this masterpiece is a perfect and subtle alchemy made with contrast and harmony. It's a story of love and pain that melts the traditional features or tango and contemporaneous inspiration. The performance is immaculate. It's a breathless trip in the clever and unique multidimensional and sensuous world of Piazolla.
