Fresh from the mini-furore surrounding their provocative note-for-note Kind of Blue album 'Blue', here we have the satirical orthodoxy-inverting New York quartet recorded live (at Jazz Club Hannover in February 2014) and, as the liner notes state, this is 'avant-garde jazz having fun'. This recording documents the culmination of 10 years of MOPDtK performing live together. The band is heard weaving between compositions and improvisations effortlessly, seamlessly and spontaneously.
