UNIVERSAL MOTHER: Recent discoveries reveal that the mitochondrial DNA in all humans is inherited from one common female ancestor in Africa approximately 200,000 years ago. We have a Universal Mother. Hu Vibrational's visit with the spirit of our Universal Mother illuminates what it means to belong to the one race, the human race, whose mother we all share. The music on this recording is an offering of gratitude to her. It echoes her call to us, her children, to recognize each other as the sisters and brothers we are, and to treat one another as we would wish to be treated —with loving kindness and compassion.
HANDMADE: Every instrument played on this recording was made by hand. Gourds, bamboo, wood, trees, rattan, clay, recycled bicycle spokes, sand, seeds, and skin are creatively combined to make unique musical instruments. If we listen, each instrument will teach us to play itself. When our minds are hearts are open, we move aside to assist the instrument in the telling of its story.
BOONGHEE MUSIC: Boonghee music is dance. The feeling of the dance is how the butterfly desires the flower. A thousand crickets give the rhythm. Birds and wind offer melodies of call and response. The dance is your imagination. Your movements are freedom.

Hu Vibrational's new album mixes deep percussive African rhythms and Afro- Jazz with elements of hip-hop and electronica recorded in Los Angeles, California. This is the second album by Hu Vibrational to be released on Soul Jazz Records and for those of you bought the first release this will not disappoint! Produced by West Coast left-field hip-hop/electronic/jazz artist Carlos Nino A/K/A Ammon Contact, the album features Adam Rudolph, Hamid Drake and Brahim Fribgane as well as special guest and deep jazz legend Yusef Lateef. Adam Rudolph and Hamid Drake have between them played and recorded with Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Hancock, Bill Laswell, Jah Wobble, Don Cherry and many more. With previous releases on Soul Jazz Records (Beautiful) and Scott Heren’s (Prefuse 73) Eastern developments label, Hu Vibrational’s deep spiritual music draws on the links between Africa, Jazz music and avant-garde Hip-Hop. Adam Rudolph co-founded the Mandingo Griot Society and has been working together for over recent years as musical partner to the great Yusef Lateef. He also runs the Go:Organic Orchestra a 22 piece percussion group. Carlos Nino A/K/A Ammon Contact has had releases on Ninja, Soul Jazz Records, Eastern Development and Plug Research. As well as being an integral part of Hu Vibrational he has also produced Dwight Trible and The Life Force Trio, Build An Ark and the Go;Organic Orchestra.
