The band consists of three musicians: Basia (the singer, clarinette player, the author of lyrics), Marcin Nenko (doublebass) and Tomasz Waldowski (drums and ethnic pipes).
Their cooperation generates something fresh and absolutely surprising. Compositions of “Chłopcy kontra Basia” include some rhythms, melodies, harmonic solutions which are characteristic for polish traditional dances and songs like “mazurka”, “oberek” or “kujawiak”. The lyrics written by Basia on basis of traditional rural songs and poems recall the time which doesn't exist any more: the time of old believes, legends, fairy tales and magic spells.
