Born in Bucharest, Romania, 31 December 1935, he migrated to Germany in 1951. He then went on to finish High School and a vocational training as a technical draftsman at General Motors in Detroit, USA, before returning to Germany in 1957 to took up music studies in Nuremberg. Originally a guitarist, he switched to trombone. In 1969 he founded his own big band, Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination & Brass. Peter Herbolzheimer died on Saturday 27.03.2010 in Cologne.Inga Rumpf is the best-known german R&B singer. Her voice often drew comparisons, but Inga was able to develop her own unique vocal style.
