Method:
- Record cleaned on Vpi machine.
- Audio sampled at 96/32 float.
- Filter to roll-off frequencies below 20 HZ (only below audible frequencies).
Audio restoration:
- 'Younglove' decrackling scripted method throughout.
- Manual declick and deglitch.
- Denoising treatments were not necessary.
- All whole sides normalized to 100% NEVER using compression or limiting.
Synopsis:
This was an archived rip that I made some years ago using my much loved Lyra Helikon. The vinyl was an original US LP and in only average condition, and there were several large glitches that needed fixing but I think I did OK. The mastering quality is patchy though, but since it is a live recording you just gotta roll with it, though there are some speed fluctuations on the final track that are from the master tape. It's a good atmospheric recording in all other respects. Enjoy!
