"Code Re(A)d is a live recording from Levontin 7 of the hard blowing and free flowing trio of Assif Tsahar (tenor sax and percussion), Mark Dresser (double bass) and Gerry Hemingway (drums, percussion). Their music is totally improvised but with their big ears and strong sense of composition they keep moving into new musical territories at times turning on a dime as they move into new musical territories. Gerry Hemingway And Mark Dresser have been playing together for more then 20 years since their days with Anthony Braxton and their rapport is telepathic, Assif enjoy the honors but does not hold back and it's give us the rare joy of pushing them into some territories we rarely hear them go to."-Hopscotch
