Несколько слов на английском
It begins simply.
The rhythm mounts, gradually becoming more complex. Enter the darting, graceful flute. Moments later, the piano and guitar make the pickup simultaneously.
Now the pace is torrid. The performance frantic.
This is an exciting cohesion of authentic Latin music and American jazz… an unusual and profitable partnership into new and modern sounds.
The rhythm section: Larry Bunker is the drummer; Tony Reyes, the bassist; on bongos, Carlos Mejia; and the conga drummer, Darias.
The "front-line" boasts three of the brightest stars in the jazz orbit. Inventive, decisive Eddie Cano plays piano; Tommy Tedesco, guitarist, performs in his usual competent, driving manner. And then, wailing on flute, sometimes piccolo, there's the brilliant, idea-rich Buddy Collette.
Buddy led his first band at the ripe old age of 12. He has worked with such greats as Lucky Thompson, Charlie Mingus, Louis Jordan, and Benny Carter. He is a respected teacher, composer, and arranger. And, Buddy Collette's sensitive playing and golden tone have earned him the trite but true title of – jazz giant!
Seven men make the music on this CROWN ALBUM. The rompin' group enjoys playing together; enjoys the thrills, enjoys the excitement that comes from the warm feeling of their fine accomplishment.
You'll agree that these 10 musical journeys reveal artists of tremendous stature and versatility.
You'll agree… just as soon as you've heard JAZZ HEAT–BONGO BEAT!
