What you get is a clear and flat transfer. For getting a clear sound, I'll do an extended washing of each record with my RCM, which can take up to 30 minutes brushing on each side. Resistant ticks and clicks I try to remove as good as possible, but the priority is not to lose any musical information in the process. Surface noises, as long they are not too high, are left in place. Only on bad pressings or on records recorded at extremely low levels do I use a fade in-/-out. As John Peel said, "Life is full of surface noises." In some cases this means that I have to make a compromise.... The result has to pass my personal quality criteria, which is IMO quite high.Posted By : aksman | Date : 05 Sep 2010 foobar2000 1.1.1 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 log date: 2012-04-24 13:20:19-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analyzed: Frank Sinatra With The Count Basie Orchestra / Sinatra At The Sands --------------------------------------------------------------------------------DR Peak RMS Duration Track -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR12 -1.53 dB -16.12 dB 3:51 A1-Come Fly With Me DR13 -2.34 dB -19.10 dB 2:35 A2-I've Got A Crush On You DR12 -0.88 dB -16.38 dB 3:48 A3-I've Got You Under My Skin DR13 -0.63 dB -17.37 dB 2:25 A4-The Shadow Of Your Smile DR13 -1.40 dB -16.49 dB 2:17 A5-Street Of Dreams DR16 -1.96 dB -23.00 dB 4:44 A6-One For My Baby (And One More For The Road) DR12 -0.52 dB -16.40 dB 2:48 B1-Fly Me To The Moon DR12 -0.51 dB -14.10 dB 0:54 B2-One O'Clock Jump (Instrumental) DR14 -2.22 dB -19.67 dB 11:47 B3-The Tea Break (Monologue) DR11 -0.13 dB -14.35 dB 3:15 B4-You Make Me Feel So Young DR13 -0.64 dB -18.29 dB 3:15 C1-All Of Me (Instrumental) DR12 -2.85 dB -18.72 dB 2:56 C2-September Of My Years DR13 -0.71 dB -15.46 dB 2:25 C3-Get Me To The Church On Time DR12 -2.88 dB -18.74 dB 3:56 C4-It Was A Very Good Year DR12 -1.49 dB -16.64 dB 3:37 C5-Don't Worry 'Bout Me DR13 -0.77 dB -17.45 dB 4:17 C6-Makin' Whoopee (Instrumental) DR12 -0.25 dB -16.54 dB 2:55 D1-Where Or When DR14 -3.43 dB -22.63 dB 3:26 D2-Angel Eyes DR12 -0.63 dB -15.17 dB 3:03 D3-My Kind Of Town DR15 -2.21 dB -21.19 dB 2:32 D4-A Few Last Words (Monologue) DR11 -2.33 dB -16.25 dB 1:02 D5-My Kind Of Town (Reprise) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Number of tracks: 21 Official DR value: DR13Samplerate: 96000 Hz Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 24 Bitrate: 2883 kbps Codec: Monkey's Audio  AlbumFrank Sinatra with the Count Basie Orchestra - Sinatra at the Sands Mobile Fidelity 180g DoLP / MFSL 2-332 Half-speed mastered by Rob LoVerde @ Mobile Fidelity Sound LabsFormat: 2 × Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Limited Edition Country: US Released: 2010 Genre: Jazz Style: Big Band, SwingRecorded January and February 1966Personnel Frank Sinatra - vocals Count Basie - piano Bill Miller - pianoThe Count Basie Orchestra Quincy Jones – arranger, conductor Harry "Sweets" Edison - trumpets Al Aarons Sonny Cohn Wallace Davenport Phil Guilbeau Al Grey - trombones Henderson Chambers Grover Mitchell Bill Hughes Marshall Royal - alto saxophone Bobby Plater Eric Dixon - tenor saxophone Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis Charlie Fowlkes - baritone saxophone Freddie Green - guitar Norman Keenan - double bass Sonny Payne - drumsSinatra at the Sands is a 1966 live album by Frank Sinatra, accompanied by Count Basie and his orchestra, conducted and arranged by Quincy Jones, recorded live at the Copa Room of the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It was Sinatra's first live album to be commercially released, and contains many definitive readings of the songs that are most readily associated with Sinatra.
