The daughter of a professional musician, her early career included long stints on cruise ships, including putting together a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald - a 45-minute cabaret featuring stories and anecdotes about Ella's life, one of Joanna's heroines. After building a solid fan base in the clubs and concert halls of the East of England, with this her regular trio, Jo made her long awaited London debut at Jazz on the Park in 2006 and has since been touring the UK. She has also supported Jamie Cullum in concert and has released an album and single of her own 'pop influenced' compositions. However, it's as a jazz artist, that her talents have now been recognised.
