Rightfully considered 1 of Kenny Dorham’s best, this album features great originals & great trumpet playing. The superb cast consists of Hank Mobley, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. The title tune & “Philly Twist” are often heard, but the entire album represents a great composing achievement for KD. Kenny Dorham was always underrated throughout his career, not only as a trumpeter but as a composer.
