His repertoire, consisting of songs which he wrote himself and/or chose from his large record collection (with many famous musicians like Oscar Peterson, Erroll Garner, Monty Alexander, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Shirley Horn and others), never gets selected because of technical complexity, but always carefully for reasons of beauty, melody and chord structure...
