Desatanudos is experimental/alternative fusion trio from Cordoba, Argentina founded by composer and guitarist Dario Iscaro. Dario played with many local folk, jazz, tango and symphonic musicians, worked in theatres and ballet as musician. In 1995 he founded his jazz-fusion band "Antiheroe".
Later Dario Iscaro founded jazz-fusion "LIB Trio" with Gustavo Lorenzatti and Martín Bruhn. Band played in prestigious Buenos Aires club Club del Vino supporting Dave Holland Quintet. In September 2000 trio released their only album "La desatanudos".
LIB Trio was reformed to "Desatanudos" ( Dario Iscaro - guitar, Gustavo Lorenzatti - double bass and Fernando Caballero - drums) and in January 2002 toured Mexico.
Dario Iscaro later continued his work with "Antiheroe" band and participated in different jazz, symphonic and tango projects.Later same decade Desatanudos trio became more active again playing gigs all around South America.

I re-raise of this great disk of another project of Dario Iscaro (Antihero, DIZ, etc), this time to the front of a real great band of musicians spectacular, imprimiento a fusion jazz-tinged music of contemporary argentina, RIO, ethnic music, folk and psychedelic rock perhaps what we could define as psychedelic jazz? the bursts (see the videos if you don't believe me), in a disc terrible... and in vivo, nor do they tell you!
Another inspiration of Darío Iscaro implementing their own stamp on jazz music, but this time it is a power jazz that moves with its own identity the gap between jazz, rock, contemporary music argentina, the RIO and psychedelic rock. This kind of "psychedelic jazz" allows the band to perform a journey of perception, feelings, weather, sound and mood. And is that the group always moves at an intersection of pathways by which circulate in jazz, rock, tango, music, ethnic and folk, and experimental philosophy. All of this coexists in this great disc, the first disc of the training that has already 10 years of career.
This grouping has now been more than ten years of experience and has performed innumerable live performances, such as playing as a band invited to the concert of the Dave Holland Quintet (2002), participated in the international jazz Festival, Cordoba, 2009, at the Cultural Center of Spain/Cordoba, the Goethe-Institut of Cordoba, the jazz festival "Jazz Festin 2006" from Valparaiso, Chile (2006), presentations at the Teatro San Martin, next to the chilean band, so-and-So (2005), made presentations on "Wine Club" (Bs. Ace. 2000) and made a tour of Mexico where he played in various jazz clubs. In spite of its vast experience and more than 10 years on it, it is their first compact disc. The album was recorded live if you don't have the loudness of the public, where in addition to recording his own songs have versions by artists such as Jaco Pastorius and Henri Texier. And this is the first album because previously tried to burn two times: the first was an issue with percussionist Martin Bruhn, but it was a job very limited in terms of quantity, and it ended up being more of an exercise musical. The second, in the study of "The Hive", where an electrical storm affected computers and lost all of the masters.

TRIO DESATANUDOS - three kings of the avant-garde of cordoba One of the many debts that we have pending with the past year is the disc of TRIO DESATANUDOS “The King Of Words.” This TRIO DESATANUDOS is the product of the association of three luminaries in the jazz and rock of advanced location argentina Cordoba: Darius Íscaro (guitars, effects, samples, compositions, arrangements), Gustavo Lorenzatti (double bass, compositions, arrangements) and Fernando Caballero (drums, arrangements). This album of 2011 that we already mentioned before, The “King Of Words”, is a magnificent example of ingenuity invested in the language of the avant-jazz with elements fusionescos and progressive. With an arsenal of sound of electric guitar, bass and drums, the group manages the effects, arrangements and schemes sufficiently complex as to generate a structure sonic authentically intricate where it gives a perfect combination of freedom of expression and thought is organized into three bands. Lasting 4 ½ minutes, ‘The Trip’ opens the album with a distinguished exercise of jazz-rock, marked mainly by subtle atmospheres where fusionesco imposes the conditions of the expressions of sonic energy and the development of the swing. Then comes the piece of the same name, based on a pattern in 5/4, in which environment develop arrangements reasonably sophisticated in the trio explores facets of density and dissonance. ‘Entrave’, a composition of HENRIE EXIET, refers us to candid climates in the twilight where the twisted lyricism displayed by the double bass with a bow provides resources of concern, properly measured for the instrumental structure of the time. The moment where it looks like the guitar of Íscaro is more relaxing in comparison. ‘Without The Vivi’ is a sort of bossa nova recycled through the use of ornaments typical of psychedelic rock, but without losing sight of the swing of the essential basic idea, while ‘Voodoo’ gets to the heart of the language stoner with some factors sonic seem to satirize certain clichés of the nu-metal: an idea traviesamente great. ‘That Is Not The Take The Wind’ is a pretty theme climate within the repertoire of the album. It begins with a spirituality that is relatively quiet, between bluesera and psychedelic within the usual attitude calculated assuming the trio in their interactions; then, derives to a reason more extroverted where the group makes a reconstruction of tenor avant-jazzy of a passage inspired cadences fusionescas; from this combination, subject, elaborates on sound engineering integral of the topic. ‘Invitation’ is a little Bible in the history of jazz, a standard of eternal value composed by BRONISLAU KAPER, immortalized by several luminaries such as, for example, THELONIUS MONK: on this occasion, the TRIO DESATANUDOS picks up with an additive of aires fusionescos without destroy for nothing the magic essence of the original idea. After the impenetrable solemnity of ‘Invitation’, emerges the looseness fresh and bright ‘Santa Cruz’ to display, once more, the mastery with which the trio combines the languages of the avant-jazz and fusion. In this case, also noticed elements of progressive experimentation in various phrasings of the guitar Íscaro (with accents that are close to Frippiano), appropriate indexes of challenging disruption in the middle of the explosive extroversion that the framing of Lorenzatti and Knight weapon with great punche. ‘Dense’ set a dynamic resoundingly powerful where the speeches of the heavy rock classic and contemporary fusion set in a colorful, where all the nuances involved are amalgamated to the thousand wonders: another climactic moment of the album, without a doubt. The last 15 minutes, and the peak of the album is occupied by the sequence of ‘Wounded Heart’, ‘Dynamic’ and ‘Bistrita’. The first is based on a work of deconstruction of a bolero in key jazzy, drawn with predominancias of gray shades. ‘Dynamic’, for its part, is responsible for giving a twist Crimsoniano things with a muscular exercise of rock neurotic within a frame of sound, that, instead of basking in complexities ostentatious, you want to keep the fire flaming within a freshness relatively simple. ‘Bistrita’ has less strength and a lot more agility, carrying the frenzy of a roulette wheel: something like a cross between the carnivalesque farce of a ZAPPA and the gall sophisticated of JOHN ZORN with the addition of the lightness misleading about FOREVER EINSTEIN. These last two topics reflect the latest flashes of fireworks before the fall of the curtain. TRIO DESATANUDOS is one of many examples of the musical brilliance that is maintained and flows continuously from Cordoba: “The King Of The Words” is one of the disc's most exciting and unique that you have done in the bosom of the advanced jazz-rock argentina in the last few years.
