Els Segadors (The Reapers) From the Spanish Civil War, this was the song about the revolt
ot the Catalan farmers against the central power. It became the official hymn of the Catalan Republic.
The Ballad of the Fallen Recent song from El Salvador - (See poem)
If You Want to Write Me (Si Me Quieres Escribir) From the Spanish Civil War, this was a
fighting song of the Spanish Republican Armies.
Grandola Vila Morena This song was played on Portuguese radio to signal the young enlisted
army officers to revolt against the fascist Portuguese government in 1974.
Introduction to People A song by Carla Bley based on traditional Spanish harmonies.
The People United Will Never Be Defeated (El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido!)
Written by Sergio Ortega and Quilapayun, this is probably the best-known political song to have
emerged from Chile, and since the C.I A supported Coup and Pinochet Dictatorship, it has
become an anthem of the Chilean resistance.
Silence Silence is at the beginning and end of everything in life. This song was written with the thought
that there are infinite possibilities for humankind contained within the brilliance of the universe.

Too Late written by Carla Bley as a duet for Carla and me.
La Pasionaria This song is dedicated to Dolores Ibarruri, the renowned „La Pasionaria", who during
the Spanish Civil War inspired the Spanish Republic against fascism with the slogan „No Pasaran"
(They shall not pass).
La Santa Espina Old song from the country of Catalonia, revived during the Spanish Civil War
by the fighters of the Republic.
