Leader Stefan Zeniuk surprises with an ingenious new version of the Requiem in Verdi's bicentenary year. Long live Verdi!Stefan Zeniuk (was born in 1980, New York) grew up in a creative household, his parents being artists, and he was exposed early on to jazz, blues, and experimental music. Family friends included composer Steve Reich and saxophonist Tim Berne. In college he studied composition and anthropology. After graduating, he formed his first group, Los Vinos.
