Review
This is Kevin is an electronic project from Slovakia. Currently it’s one-man band of Roman Ferianc, author of all tracks and musician on the most of them, with many guests and collaborants on each release.
This is Kevin produced 3 albums so far: “Slowly to the Sun” in 1999, electronic act inspired by Slovak folklore, electro-pop piece “Communication” in 2002 and the most recent “Welcome to My Planet” in 2006 contains ambient and chillout tracks as well as dance ones.
Slowly to the SunSlowly to the Sun came out with MONITOR EMI in May 1999.Singles "to Pasteur" and "Paslo dievca pavy" became the most played songs and reached top of playlists almost of all the most powerful Slovak radios.
Album is based on authentic Slovakian folklore creation, which combines elements of electronic drum & bass and other electronic genres.Based on the first single - "to Pasteur" was created a video (virtual illusion, which looks point of intersection between micro and macro world).
Interest in, among others, also took the British music network MTV - so that "to Pasteur" occured several times on air, first in English and later in the German edition of MTV.
Video was created by Zdeno Hlinka, Palo Luka, Ivan Klimo, Kornel cable and was established in July 1999.Slowly to the Sun was nominated in 4 categories as the best Slovak album of 1999.Very interesting electronic project from Slovakia. Definitely worth giving a try...
