Дина Вашингтон была на пике карьеры, когда Моррис Леви (владелец известного нью-йоркского джазового клуба Birdland) убедил ее записываться на своей студии Roulette. В течение 20 месяцев она записала 93 композиции, 72 из которых представлены на данном релизе.Долго мучался выбором, в какой раздел выложить раздачу - Jazz или Blues. Ребята из EMI, которые компилировали представленный CD set, обозначили Дину как The Queen of the Blues. На мой взгляд, Dinah Washington по праву причисляют к величайшим певицам стилей Jazz и Blues.Наслаждайтесь!
