Since his debut in 2003 as a sideman for Avishai Cohen, he has been considered one of the best drummers of the decade, but it wasn’t until 2006 when he founded Heernt and Beat Music that the international jazz scene put him on their radar. This album has been in the works for the past few years. Listener’s will find, Guiliana’s sense of rhythm not just mathematically advanced but fresh and easy for anyone to listen to. Is this Jazz? Who cares… It’s improvised music, it’s contemporary, it’s hip hop, it’s completely human, and it challenges electronic music in a whole different level.
