He's been around, and really knows his stuff. This is a good album and representative of his spectacular live shows with The Lounge Kings. Hep Cats and Kitten, if you like the general coolness of Indigo Swing, the fever of BBVD, and plenty of songs to swing dance or lindy-hop to, then hit it! I just bought this CD. I first heard of Johnny Reno on the "Melrose Place" compilation CD I have. He plays a mean Sax and has 2 organists backing him up with the band. What a super sound. He even does a slow jazz arrangement of Harlem Nocturne, a popular Sax song from the early 60's. Every track on this CD I like. That's a rarety for me. It's well worth buying! After spending a summer in Dallas Texas and many of the nights at "The Red Jacket", I found a love for swing. Johnny's record is an excellent representation of his live performances, that I had the opportunity to experience many nights. Through Johnny's music, I have found a love for swing, it is Johnny Reno who inspired me to dance like I never had before!! --- reviews from amazon
