George Petersen's liner notes are anything but revealing - merely adding his 2 cents on Buddy's career and this recording. There are some additional photos inside, not from this date but from other appearances in the early 70's. In any case, BR fans should already have this CD in their collection and fans of great small-group jazz ensembles will thoroughly enjoy this set, which clocks in at 41:03. Don't expect any drum solos here, just great rhythmic accompaniment. Anthony Jackson is the unsung hero here in my opinion. He grooves in every style and gets some nice moments to show off (check out Billie's Bounce!).
