When asked about the title of her debut album, she explained, “RED is more than a color, it’s a feeling, it evokes so many different emotions for each of us, passion, love, desire, anger…each song on this album taps into these emotions.” Her first single RADIO, featuring Walter ‘Q Bear’ Banks Jr. and Stokley Williams of Mint Condition, was released March 28th, 2011 on itunes and Amazon. Her second single and video, Talkin to Myself, was released on November 28th, 2011. The video features scenes from her upcoming original musical REDdington, and is part one in a trilogy of videos to come that will continue to depict the life of Eva Reddington, the main character from her musical. The majority of RED was recorded at Savannah Street Studio’s and was produced by Ben Obi and Yohannes Tona. The title track RED, was written and produced by Yohannes Tona, and features Peter Vircks on saxophone and Michael Bland on drums. The famous Dizzy Gillespie standard, Night in Tunisia, is the only cover song on RED, and features world class Cuban jazz pianist Nachito Herrera, and guitarist Troy Norton.
