The standard ballad “Like Someone In Love” and the Coltrane mid-tempo original “Trane’s Slo Blues” wonderfully supplement the album’s 14-minute title track, an unrivaled masterpiece of both style and grace. If you love old time jazz and appreciate Coltrane’s sax playing or if you are adventurous then I recommend this sacd to you with no reservations. As with most Fantasy sacd transfers this one is absolutely superb featuring realistic dynamics,,,,,ultra real sax sound (complete with textures), great warmth and sound stage.
