This record comes out "at the end of the night" after a long experience of life which had its apex in a fatal bet in a hospital in Bologna. A risky transplant which could have been the last trip of my life, was instead a rebirth. Desperation became a new beginning of life from which my project came out. It began by instinct during the summer of 2004. In the seven tracks I tried to rebuild the emotions of my musical existence. You can feel the atmosphere of the Sundays of the late 50's, the Rai Orchestra playing "Lover" on the radio, my years in the Conservatory. Then the encounter with Chet, an experience that I treasure in my heart and that today I appreciate more than ever. Thanks to this voyage into the past I discovered an unknown sound path which allowed me to look back with a new, more conscious vision. Jazz is simply a stylistic frame for a more complex project of Mediterranean atmospheres, which blends the melancholy of Fado, the rituality and passion of Tango with the brightness, warmth and joy of Pizzica and the whole southern Italian musical tradition.
