Об альбоме (сборнике)
Interesting new recording label Galician directed Paco Charlín, which performed a tribute to saxophonist Charlie Parker. To do this, the formation consists mainly of Galician musicians, deploys a completely original repertoire, composed and arranged by the Charlín own, with suggestive titles such as "Parker's Avenue", "The Parkeriana Mood" or "Bird's Language ". The quintet of musicians, despite his youth, proves to have assumed the bebop style, so you can appreciate it in the interpreted themes, where the fast rhythms and lines of nerve notes (the older style bebop), are clearly recognizable , especially in the three main vocals, alto sax, guitar and piano. Own both melodic and expressive elements of style Charlie Parker are very well reflected in the interpreted issues, but not as a copy but as a sign of perfect knowledge (and I assumed as a musical style that is part of the history of jazz) but with clear current items. Also, ballads transmitted exquisite sensuality, allowing rating this tribute successful and correct, although the interpretation of some original theme of Charlie Parker himself would have been desirable.
