Frankie Rodrìguez was the lead vocalist, and future bassist great, Bobby Valentìn, played the trumpet along with Tony Cofresì, also on the trumpet. The themes; "Los Generales De La Salsa", "A Villa Palmeras", "Nos Engañò La Vida",and "Bailan Güagüancò", are fine examples of the nice and tight rythm that was being developed by Willie's band, just three years before he added a bass saxophone that gave the band its now legendary sound.
