Friends who joined them bring other backgrounds and musical colours, using a large variety of instruments including tabla, banjo, sitar, sarod, didjeridoo, darbuka, djembe, fretless bass and acoustic guitar to melt sound and lines. Using their differences to create joy and peace is Saharadja’s driving force. Saharadja’s sound is unique due to the cosmopolitan influences of the peaceful island of Bali and a severe work in arrangements. Saharadja established it’s originality by fusing together an array of world music sounds, stating a new level of entertainment in Bali. Whether playing in a small bar or a large festival concert, their shows are always conducted with passion and energy. Thousands of people from all over the world visiting Bali have fallen in love with the band, coming back regularly to the shows and staying close to the musicians through e-mail and the website. Saharadja has recorded 2 CDs as Independent Label, which thousands of copies have been sold on site, and they are in the process of recording their third album which will be made up of all original songs.
