The liner notes consist of an interview Joel Dorn had with 2 (Two) of Monk's children, and I must say, if nothing else this will will give you real good picture of Monk the Musician and Monk the Father. As with almost every 32 Jazz compilation, this too was well put together! Highlights are: Charles Brown "'Round Midnight" which is on about 2 (Two) other 32 Jazz compilations, but it's real easy to say it works well here too!. Johnny Lytle "Well You Needn't", and James Spaulding "I Mean You". A very nice tribute to a Jazz Legend! -- by Mr. Nightshift
