Deux albums chez Sony (The Back Burner et Spoon-a-rythm), deux pour Warner virant à l’électro (Time 4 Change et Stories)... Cet album d’Organics a été enregistré à la suite d’un concert-fleuve, si j’ose dire, sur la péniche du Bateau-Phare. L’ambiance était tellement bonne qu’on décida d’entrer en studio quelques mois après, histoire d’approfondir le répertoire. Une fois la musique enregistrée, elle est revenue dans nos ordis à Gaël et moi et ressortit enfin sous forme d’un disque - et d’un orchestre prêt à tourner. Au niveau de la méthode de travail, c’est mon disque électro le plus abouti, je pense; également le plus jusqu’au-boutiste. Certains l’adorent, d’autres le détestent, moi je trouve qu’il a une bonne frite. La participation avec Gaël Horellou y est certainement pour beaucoup, mais il ne faut pas oublier Philippe Bussonnet à la basse et Yoann Serra à la batterie qui apportaient chacun épaisseur et précision au son du groupe. On a pas mal tourné avec Organics, on a fait beaucoup de dates sympas, différentes, improbables : 12 000 personnes à Montréal, 25 à Lisieux, des festivals, des after, des errances, des surprises. Beaucoup de bonnes choses en somme.
