Спектры
Об альбоме (сборнике)This is called For Those Who Chant (Blue Thumb Records). It is the 2nd of 4 LPs available from trumpeter Luis Gasca from the 70's. Not as great IMO as The Little Giant or Born to Love You (I have not heard Collage). What this has in common is the always outstanding Joe Henderson on Tenor. Carlos Santana is on guitar but he mainly fills in gaps with backing guitar riffs, not up front solos. Standout track is the 15 min Spanish Gypsy. Very interesting and almost hypnotic song structures, atmospheric might be the right word but not in an overly produced CTI/Mizzell way. Latin influenced, almost minimalist, don't expect funky blue note style jazz.
