The band has been earning an “underground” following with artist residencies at the Painted Bride Art Center and Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, performances at Shapeshifter Lab, Nublu, Underground Arts, the Center City, Philadelphia International and Lancaster Ave jazz festivals, and educational workshops including masterclasses at UPenn, Drexel, UArts, GSU, and Emory. The music of FCO is an eclectic blend of “straight ahead” jazz, contemporary classical, progressive rock, hip hop, and modern electronica.
