Об альбоме (сборнике)America-to-Europe (and later back again) ex-pat pianist Curtis Clark teams here with a bunch of first-rank European improvisers: multi-reeds player and educator Andy Sheppard from Britain; Britain-based South African ex-pat drummer Louis Moholo-Moholo; and a pair of Dutchmen, double-bassist Ernst Glerum and cellist Ernst Reijseger. The multinational quintet plays eight Clark’s originals plus a number by The Beatles. The compositions range from groovy opener “Reincarnation of Biggar Thomas” to improvisational “Cosmic Minstrels” featured a guest appearance of Jan Piet Visser on harmonica.
