Об альбоме (сборнике)This is a new combination of musicans coming from different environments of improvisation and the music is for the most part free improvisation. This rare meeting has developed into this exciting CD ”Opus apus”. The title refers to that the major part of the compositions have got titles from names of birds in Latin.
Christian Jormin cooperates since a few years with modern dance improvisers and has also a trio of his own. He is also involved in drum work with modern Scandinavian folkmusic groups.
Mats Gustafsson is now regarded as one of the more prominent interpreters of the European free jazz scene cooperating with such musicians as Barry Guy, Paul Lovens and Derek Bailey.
Anders Jormin is wellknown for his bass playing for instance with Charles Lloyd and Don Cherry together with several others both American and European musicians. He also has his own Nordic group.
