I could explain the influences & motivations that drove me forward. But what is really significant is the fact that, for the past 2 years, each of these pieces has been like a page in a diary: written in 1 go & in a very personal way. Somewhere to pour my joys & disappointments, loves & friendships. I do hope that between the light & shadow of the notes, the listener might be able to live, at least partially, what I experienced while writing. ~ Francesco Fournier Facio Francesco Fournier Facio operates mainly as a contemporary composer. As such, he can look back on numerous awards, master classes & performances of his works. On this album by Foné he appears not only as a composer, but also as a performer of his own pieces in appearance. Stylistically reminiscent Fournier Facios miniatures quite a bit of the solo recordings of Philip Glass – but the Italian beats here sent the bridge from the purist minimal music for a smoother, more pop sound, the lives of simple but effective advanced motor structures. A successful synthesis of Philip Glass, Johann Sebastian Bach, Elton John and Keith Jarrett. A CD for friends of music that achieved much with little effort. (A little lost in translation methinks)
