Drawing on influences in the straight-ahead and avant-garde jazz canons as well as many world music and modern influences, we create a unique sound. We are inspired by modern artists on the scene such as Vijay Iyer, Jim Black, John Hollenbeck, Kneebody, as well as rhythms from Indian Classical and West African music. Our compositions feature many contrasts of chaos and beauty, including insane rhythmic cycles, breakneck alto-piano unisons, modal solo sections, as well as free ensemble playing.
