A virtuose highly in demand by Lavelle, Deedee Bridgewater, Nicole Croisille and Chico Freeman, he goes on to collaborate with Kassav, Malavoy, Michel Jonasz and Laurent Voulzy. In 2002, Mario founded Sakésho, On the African scene he played with Mbappé, Dibangoand Bona among others. 2004 marked a jazz-oriented turning point in Canonge’s career with the release of Rhizome with Roy Hargrove, and then the duo with Michel Zenino. His critically acclaimed jazz album Mitan, was released in 2011. Mario and Michel’s concert Jazz à Porquerolles filmed by Frank Cassenti was released in 2013. Michel Zeninois a double-bassist, composer and arranger. After studying at Berklee, Michel went on to win the La Défense Jazz festival contest with his sextet and played with Archie Shepp, Toots Thielmann, Barney Wilen, James Carter, Danilo Perez, Eric Truffaz, Arturo Sandoval, Steve Grossman and Christian Vander among others. He writes and arranges for his quartet with E. Spanyi, C. Monniot and J. Boudreaux, for the bands OGHAM and Massaliazz, and is involved as sideman in many other bands. Michel is also the education manager at the IMFP. Arnaud Dolmenwas born in October 1985 and started introduction to music classes at the age of 2. At 5 in Guadalupe, he studied Ka with Georges Troupé. He settles in France at 18 and wins 1st prize of the Dante Agostini school in Toulouse. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous artists including Jacques Schwarz Bart, Mario Canonge, Kimbòl, Alain Jean-Marie, Jonathan Jurion and Jasser Haj.Ricardo Izquierdo Reyes was born in Matanzas, Cuba in 1978. He started paying the cello at 8 years old and then turned to the alto saxophone when he went to the Escuela National de Artes in Havana. He was part of Alexis Bosch’s quintet and Carlos Maza’s quartet and played in Europe. He recorded his album Fidelidad and moved to Paris in 2001. He collaborated with Oscar Valdés Jr, Jason Palmer, Jeff Ballard, Bojan Z... Josiah Woodsonpicked uptrumpet when at theage of12 and got a Masters degree from the New England Conservatory of Boston. In NYC, Josiah played the trumpet, flute or guitar in several bands, including the Superpower Horns featured on Beyoncé’s Grammy-award-winning Love on Top. He has played with Branford Marsalis, Dave Holland, Mulgrew Miller and Mos Def to name a few.
