We know of tuba great Michel Godard from his numerous appearances on Enja discs, especially his work with Rabih Abou-Khalil. I am unfamiliar with the trombone player, flutist and the vocalists as well, although everyone's playing is marvelous throughout. The music has most mysterious quality, the swell vocals are nicely layered and not made up of words, including some cool vocal drum sounds. Alessio's strong, solid and creative drumming is often at the center of most of these fine pieces, with either some great trombone, tuba or flute soloing added.
