Cene Resnik graduated in saxophone at the Jazz conservatory in Klagenfurt in 2007. During his studies, he participated in workshops by Reggie Workman, Doug Hammond and later Joe Zawinul, with whom he had an opportunity to play with in the year of 2007 in Austria, Croatia and in Maribor, Slovenia. In 2011 Resnik recorded and performed with Robert Jukič group Operation Charlie. In December 2012 Music Label Radio Študent released his first album Joyful Spontaneity with his quartet (Emanuele Parrini - violin, Giovanni Maier - double bass, Aljoša Jerič - drums). Music on the album represents free improvised compositions as a reflection of his twelve-year study and practice of Tibetan Buddhist meditation. Resnik has performed at the jazz festival in Ljubljana, Maribor, Prishtina, Klagenfurt, including clubs in Italy, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia and New York. Recently Cene Resnik Quartet performed at 54th Ljubljana Jazz Festival where they recorded live concert for a Portuguese record label Clean Feed.
