В этом релизе собраны записи Lee Morgan и Wayne Shorter, сделанные в ныне почившей чикагской студии Vee Jay в 1959-1961 годах. К тому времени Lee Morgan уже выпустил шесть пластинок и считался восходящей звездой студии Blue Note, Wayne Shorter, в свою очередь, только начинал свою карьеру джазового музыканта.

На этих дисках резкий стиль Lee Morgan дополняется игрой Wayne Shorter на тенор-саксофоне, а также альт-саксофониста Frank Strozier, ударников Art Blakey и Louis Hayes, пианиста Bobby Timmons и многих других прославленных музыкантов того времени.
